Interprovincial Music Camp (IMC) at Camp Manitou offers a challenging instrumental and musical experience geared to the needs of young musicians from Intermediate and High School grades 7 through 12.
The program is designed to accommodate players ranging from the most talented and proficient, that play in our "symphonic" ensembles, to the less experienced players who join the "concert" ensembles. On the first day all players take part in auditions that are used to determine which of these large ensembles they will be joining.
In addition to these orchestras and bands, players can opt to take part in small ensembles on a daily basis. These include Jazz Bands, Chamber Music, Trios, Quintets, and so on, that allow players to expand their musical experience.
IMC Camp is held at beautiful Camp Manitou, near Parry Sound, Ontario. Campers may take advantage of the sports and recreation facilities which include a complete waterfront of sailing, windsurfing, swimming, water-skiing and canoeing, as well as tennis courts, baseball, basketball, soccer, and more. Evening programs will include campfires, a talent show, dance, and other traditional camp activities. IMC is a Non-Profit, Non-Sectarian Charitable Foundation.
